Costs on top of the plan price
- Card processing: Housecall Pro says rates start at 2.59%. Ask what your actual rate is before you switch processors.
- Bank payments: 1% fee.
- Check deposits through the mobile app: no fee.
- Extra users on Max: $35/mo each after the 8 included.
- Optional add-ons are sold separately, including CSR AI (AI call and chat answering), Pipeline (lead follow-ups), Payroll, Accounting, Business Coaching, Voice, Campaigns, vehicle GPS and dashcams, Tap to Pay, and Websites. Add-on prices are not listed on the pricing page; get a quote.
Contract, trial, and changing plans
- No long-term contract required, per the pricing page FAQ.
- The 14-day free trial runs on the Max plan with no credit card needed.
- Upgrades take effect right away. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current monthly or annual billing period.
- Franchises and multi-location businesses get custom pricing.
Rough math for a home-service shop (example, not measured data)
A 4-tech HVAC company on Essentials billed annually pays $149/mo, or $1,788 a year, before processing fees. If it runs $40,000 a month in card payments at 2.59%, processing is about $1,036 a month. That fee usually matters more than the plan price, so compare the processing rate against what you pay now.
Who should skip it
- Solo operators who only need invoices and a calendar. A cheaper entry plan may cover it; compare Jobber Core in Jobber vs Housecall Pro.
- Shops that mainly lose jobs to missed calls. Fix answering first with an AI answering service for HVAC or plumbers, or missed call text back software.
