What My AI Front Desk is
My AI Front Desk is an AI receptionist platform. It answers calls 24/7, books appointments, transfers calls to people based on rules, and sends call summaries. It also handles web chat, texting, email and WhatsApp, and logs contacts in a built-in CRM. You forward your existing number to it, so there’s no porting, and it can take simultaneous calls. The vendor says setup takes about 5 minutes.
Most of the case studies on its site are property management. It does mention a multi-state HVAC operator, but the trades aren’t its main focus. That isn’t a deal-breaker, since the features carry over, but you’ll write your own emergency rules rather than use a trades template.

How overage credits work
One credit is worth $0.01. Each month you get 1,000 credits ($10 worth) that expire at the end of the month. Overage costs:
| Usage | Credits | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Voice minute (phone) | 25 | $0.25 |
| Web voicebot minute | 25 | $0.25 |
| Chat conversation | 5 | $0.05 |
| Text message | 4 | $0.04 |
| Form submission | 4 | $0.04 |
The monthly pool covers about 40 extra voice minutes. After that, auto-reload buys 1,000 credits for $10, and purchased credits don’t expire.
Example (our math, not usage data): 300 voice minutes in a month is 100 over. 40 come from the pool and 60 from purchased credits, which means two $10 reloads. That’s about $119 for the month, before any chat or text overage.
Trial, cancellation and refunds
- The pricing and receptionist pages offer a 7-day free trial with no contract, cancelled from the dashboard.
- The terms say the subscription starts automatically after the trial and that “you will still be responsible for usage fees” during the trial.
- After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the billing period.
- The terms say refunds “are generally not provided,” with exceptions at the company’s discretion. Upgrades are prorated.
Free plan conflict: The current pricing and receptionist pages say there’s no permanently free plan. An older help tutorial and a homepage FAQ on the same site still mention a free tier. We’re going with the pricing page. Confirm at signup.
Features that matter for trades
- Booking: live calendar booking into Google Calendar, Outlook and Calendly.
- Transfers: rule-based live transfers. You could send “no heat,” “active leak” or “sparking outlet” calls to your on-call phone and take messages for everything else.
- One inbox: phone, web chat, texting, email and WhatsApp in one place, with a built-in CRM. That helps a shop that gets as many web form leads as calls.
- Outbound calls: up to 20 a day on the self-serve plan, useful for calling back missed leads or confirming appointments.
- CRM sync: HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and GoHighLevel. If you use HighLevel for marketing, see our HighLevel pricing guide.
- Languages: 20+ languages.
- Phone setup: forward your existing number, with no porting, and take simultaneous calls.
What’s missing for trades: no native sync is listed for Jobber, Housecall Pro or ServiceTitan, so you’d connect them through Zapier. “2 of each” agent action and 3 notification recipients can feel tight for a shop with several techs on call.
Pros
- Everything in one plan. Voice, chat, texting, email and a CRM for $99/mo, or $79/mo annually.
- Cheap overage per minute. $0.25 per extra voice minute is far below live answering services.
- Booking and transfers included. No upgrade needed.
- Useful CRM integrations for shops already on HubSpot, Pipedrive or GoHighLevel.
- Outbound calls for callbacks and reminders.
- Simple setup. Forward your number; the vendor says about 5 minutes.
Cons
- Only 200 included voice minutes. That’s roughly 65 three-minute calls. A busy HVAC shop in July will go well past it.
- Strict terms. Refunds generally aren’t given, and usage fees still apply during the free trial.
- One self-serve plan. There’s nothing smaller for a solo operator and nothing between $99 and custom Enterprise.
- Not built for trades. The site leans toward property management, and there’s no native field-software sync.
- Mixed messages about a free plan across the vendor’s own pages.

- If your calls are short and Spanish matters, Rosie’s buckets go further. See Rosie vs Goodcall.
- If you want automatic texts after missed calls more than a full receptionist, look at missed call text back software.

Who My AI Front Desk fits
- Good fit: cleaning companies, landscapers and small service shops that get leads by phone, web chat and text, and want one inbox and CRM with outbound follow-up. Best for under about 10 conversations a day.
- Poor fit: high-volume HVAC or plumbing lines, which blow through 200 minutes, and shops that need native Jobber or ServiceTitan sync. Also anyone who wants a refund-friendly trial.
